CVS Pharmacy pushes into the Atlanta market with the first ground up prototype building design, the 10,125.

1997

CVS completes its acquisition of more than 2,500 stores from Revco — the largest acquisition in the history of the U.S. retail pharmacy industry. The acquisition of Revco gives CVS key drugstore locations primarily in the Midwest and Southeast.

1998

CVS acquires 200 Arbor Drugs of Michigan stores. CVS develops the 10,880 prototype.

1999

CVS begins the process of building and opening stores in the Florida market.

2000
